Three Things

It's not a secret that me and my husband LOVE Christmas. I officially started listening to Christmas music last weekend. As this post is written, I'm listening to Christmas music. My go-to for the past couple years has been the Michael Buble Holiday station on Pandora. It's the perfect mix of old songs and new. Love. It.

True conversation that JUST happened:
Brandon: Are you listening to Christmas music??
Me: Um, yes.
Brandon: Why aren't you listening to it louder? Turn it up.

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I got a little festive with the glitter this weekend. I think it's all just part of the Christmas spirit.  I can't help myself. Glitter+Christmas=happiness. I swear, I was walking around my apartment looking for things to coat in glitter. Nothing was safe. I have a problem.

I know, I know, we still have Thanksgiving ahead of us, but I can't help but start the celebration early. Trust me, I also love me some Thanksgiving. I love the food. I love the family. I love the coma I go into after eating food with the family. And I LOVE Black Friday shopping. I had a dream last night that I missed Black Friday because I woke up too late. It was more of a nightmare, really.

Ok. This post is feeling a little rambly (is that a word? I'm thinking no since I've got angry red zigzags underneath it as I type, but whatever, I think you know what I mean). I think my excitement for Christmas is just so big, I can't contain myself. It's funny how when I was little, I would anxiously await Christmas morning and all the presents I couldn't wait to tear into. But as an adult, I've found that I more look forward to the moments- the time spent with family, the reminder of our Savior's sweet, humble birth, sipping egg nog and looking at Christmas lights.

This week, in particular, I've got three Christmas things on the brain.

No. 1 ::: An Advent Calendar. I started making one and plan to share it later this week when it's all finished. I also found some great ones on Pinterest that provided some inspiration :)

If only I had a fireplace to display my advent!
Genius!

Jars pretty much always steal my heart
Love this ornament advent

No. 2 ::: Christmas Photos. If the weather cooperates, Brandon's sister (who is very talented and just starting out in photography) is supposed to take some photos for us for our Christmas cards. I love getting Christmas cards, and I can't wait to send out our first ones! Yes, this is our second Christmas together, but we didn't send them out last year. That's a story for a whole other post...Have you seen these adorable photos floating around the internet? I only hope our Christmas card photos are half as cute.

Speaking of Christmas photos, I found this great post of 5 simple tips for taking great Christmas photos from Aunt Peaches. Some things I already knew, but I learned a thing or two as well. Click the links above to go check it out!

No. 3 :::  Crap. What was #3? I can't remember now. Real life. Real brain. Does this mean I'm getting old?  I am not going to blame this on the fact that Brandon is off of work this morning and keeps trying to chat with me while I'm trying to write my blog post. Definitely not his fault at all.  Ack! He just interrupted me again. I gave him the look. He said, "I'm sorry I just want to be around you. To love you and feel my beating heart against yours. But apparently you're not into things like that." He's right. I'm totally not into things like that when I'm trying to blog and get my butt out the door to work. Although he did just hand me a fluffy pancake, so I guess that makes up for it. Number 3 is floating around my brain somewhere- hopefully it reappears at the forefront soon so I can share it with you.

Alright, I gotta go make myself presentable for cubicle-land. Have a fabulous day, my friends!
