#4 Officially Complete

You heard me right. I can officially cross the very first item of my 26 before 26 list! Yes, I realize I started the challenge off here with the bible verse memorization, but technically, I've only got one out of the three, so I can't cross it off just yet.

# 4 on the list is: Write and old teacher a thank you note.

When I sat down to write a letter, I knew exactly who I wanted to write to. Of all the teachers I've had (and trust me, when you go to six elementary schools, one middle school and three high schools, you have had A LOT), my 8th grade math teacher was the one I rememberd the most. I remember him being quite funny, but tough and challenging at the same time. He managed to have a perfect balance of being tough on his students while still managing to show that he cared.

8th grade was not an easy year for me. I had some problems at home and that, combined with all the things that come with being a 13 year old girl, just made for an ugly storm. It was thanks to teachers like Mr. Pounder (great name, right?) that I made it through that year.

Teachers are wonderful things and they have the power to have such great influence in our lives. Yes, we've all had a few bad ones, but the majority of them have been great, haven't they? So today, let's all take some time today in this season of thanksgiving and write one of them a quick note. You won't be sorry you did and you might just make someone's day.
